Always remember you're unique. Just like everyone else.

Hi ya. Last night was the night before the last Idol show (which is tonight) and I wanted to have a great meal in anticipation and I sure did. I had steak and potatoes, peas with pearl onions and a salad. Then, for dessert, I had a bowl of ice cream. As I ate the ice cream, I thought that after I finished the ice cream, that I would come into my living room, sit down at the computer and tell you all about my dinner and I did. So there.

Now that Idol is over, as soon as someone wins the bingo game, I will be taking some time off. I will be sending out a list of all the words used to date Saturday.

Speaking of bingo, for those of you who are not close in calling bingo yet, have no fear. Unfortunately for me, cause I have to keep Porky, Willie and Ed going, no one is close. My Mom is having a good laugh too. She says, now you know how she feels week after week. Oh, and you can thank our youngest subscriber Rachel in Hawaii for giving me the idea. I know I thank her everytime I have to write a new story. HA!

OK. American Idol. Pass this if ya don't watch it!

No grades at this point. Just my opinion. I would like to thank those of you who sent me your feelings on the Idol contestants and your American Idol votes. It was fun. They will all make it big.

Blake was the first to sing and I thought he did a terrific job. Randy- no, Paula- of course, yes and Simon- no.

Jordin went second with Chrstina Aguleras' Fire. That was a tough song to sing and she did a darn good job.

Blake's second song was one of my favorites. He was really pitchy on it. Did an ok job though.

Jordin was spectacular on her second song.

Blake's third song was not there for me at all. He looked uncomfortable with it too.

Jordin sang her 3rd song like she already won. Oh well. I guess she did.

Jordin is gonna win. Well, she should win. But personally speaking, it should have been Melinda Doolittle.

The Recipe

Fun Recipes

It's graduation time and many of us know someone who is graduating. Have some fun treats around. Cap off your child's school year with a treat that fits the occasion... a chocolate mortarboard with a fruit-leather tassel. You may want to make enough to share with a few classmates. Let's do it!

Grad Cap Treats

Miniature peanut butter cups
Frosting or peanut butter
Chocolate-covered graham crackers
Fruit leather

Place a miniature peanut butter cup, bottom up, on a plate. Top with a small dollop of frosting or peanut butter, then press on a chocolate-covered graham cracker.

For a tassel, tightly roll up a small square of fruit leather. Cut fringe on one end and attach the other end to the center of the graham cracker with another dab of frosting or peanut butter.

Buon Appetito!

Only the words that are in bold red are words for the day.

Yesterday, Mom gave me 8, 27, 45, 56, and 64. Here we go.

Porky and Pals Ponder Patriotism at the Ponderosa Part 11 by Kieto

As they walked down the street, Porky said, "Look fellas, I am bound and determined to get out of town and see the world. I don't care if it's by the light of the moon and we have to walk all the way. I asked Uncle Yogi to drive and all he did was go in circles."

Willie said, "Ya know, if we were to walk, what problems would we have? We hopped a train, hitchhiked, fell in to the lake, got kicked off a bus, and have had nothing but problems. I would just as soon walk."

Ed said, "Well, not me. As you can see, and as some folks call me in town, I am shaped like a butterball. I almost sank right to the bottom of the lake when I jumped in. The 4th of July is coming up and I am working the kissing booth again at the Fair this year. It doesn't seem like we could go anywhere and be back by that time."

"I don't think you'll have too many customers this year Ed. Remember what happened over the last few years Ed? You even tried giving away bananas for a kiss. The only person who kissed you was your grandma and you had to pay her." Porky quipped.

"Yea?" said Ed. "You think it's funny do you? Well, my grandma came up with the banana idea and she's telling all her friends this year!"

"Ed!" replied Willie, "Your grandmas' friends are all over 80. They need bananas for potassium. Ya better pucker up cause your grandma has a lot of friends from the church bingo every Sunday afternoon. Better have lots of bananas!"

Porky and Willie laughed and laughed at that one. Ed even chuckled a little.

What will they end up doing? Will they walk out of town? Will they stay? Poor guys. I have a feeling they are getting hungry. We'll see what happens Friday. Oh, and by the way, you will get to see what they look like on Friday too!
