Publisher Q&A
How long have you published Best Practices e-Advisor?Publisher: Since January, 2000 |
How did you get started publishing Best Practices e-Advisor?Publisher: The e-Advisor was an outgrowth of our print publication, People On Projects: The Project Management Best Practices Report. Each month, research information, resources, links and commentary that don't fit in the paid-subscriber publication overflow into the e-Advisor. All our People on Projects subscribers also receive the e-Advisor. It's the icing on the cake. |
What can a reader expect from an issue of Best Practices e-Advisor?Publisher: Each issue features links to studies and trends of interest to people who manage or work on projects; a book from our bookstore; links to research findings related to project management, or an opinion commentary from our editor; links to sites specifically devoted to the practice of project management; a description of our latest issue of People on Projects with a "best byte" and a related bonus Web link; and a quote related to the theme of the issue. Themes have included communication skills, ethics, visualizing project outcomes, paradox management, estimation skills, ROI calculation--they run the gamut of hard and soft skills. Back issues can be read at http://www.cbponline.com/e_advisor |
What is the most rewarding aspect of publishing Best Practices e-Advisor?Publisher: E-mail from readers with praise, questions, arguments. The sense of being part of a world-wide conversation. |
Is there anything else that you like to mention about Best Practices e-Advisor?Publisher: Stay tuned for sweepstakes to win books from our bookstore, beginning in 2004. |
